Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using PocketWorld (pocketworld.org), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this site.

Permitted use

You may access PocketWorld for personal, educational, journalistic and development use. Public API and widget use must follow the limits, attribution requirements and source licenses stated on the relevant documentation page. This permission does not transfer ownership of PocketWorld software or third-party data. You may not:

• Bypass technical rate limits or access controls
• Misrepresent PocketWorld or an upstream source as certifying your conclusions
• Remove required source attribution from an embed or redistributed result
• Use the service to violate law, privacy, intellectual-property rights or provider terms
• Resell bulk access or mirror the service without written permission

Disclaimer

The materials on PocketWorld are provided on an 'as is' basis. PocketWorld makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation:

• Implied warranties or conditions of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights

Further, PocketWorld does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials.

Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate real-time data, PocketWorld cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of:

• Flight tracking information
• Ship and vessel positions
• Satellite locations
• Earthquake and disaster data
• Weather information

This data is provided for informational purposes only and should not be used for navigation, emergency response, or any critical decision-making.

Limitations

In no event shall PocketWorld or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use PocketWorld.

Third-party content, advertising and affiliate links

PocketWorld displays observations, stream metadata, headlines, images and links supplied by named third parties. Their terms and rights continue to apply. Advertising is currently suspended. If advertising is enabled later, it will be identified and governed by our Privacy Policy and consent controls.

Some travel actions are affiliate links and are labeled near the action. PocketWorld may receive a commission after a qualifying purchase without increasing the displayed price. Affiliate relationships do not make a travel provider an authoritative source for flight status.

PocketWorld has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by PocketWorld.

Changes

We may update these terms when the product, providers or legal requirements change. The revision date on this page identifies the current version. Material changes apply prospectively where required by law.

Governing Law

Applicable law governs these terms. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer or privacy rights, and PocketWorld does not claim an undisclosed exclusive court or jurisdiction.
